01253 is the area code for Blackpool and the wider Fylde coast in Lancashire, including places such as Lytham St Annes, Fleetwood and Poulton-le-Fylde. Blackpool is one of Britain's best-known seaside resorts, so callers using 01253 numbers include hotels, entertainment venues and tourist businesses as well as Blackpool Council, Blackpool Victoria Hospital, GP practices and local firms. An 01253 number can be ported or used through a VoIP service anywhere, and scammers can make any number appear on your screen, so a local code does not confirm a caller is genuine.
Who called me from 01253?
The prefix tells you where the line was originally registered (Blackpool), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
