01472 is the area code for Grimsby, Cleethorpes and surrounding parts of North East Lincolnshire. Grimsby has a long fishing and seafood-processing history and is today also associated with port activity and offshore wind. Calls from 01472 numbers may come from North East Lincolnshire Council, Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, GP surgeries, food manufacturers, port businesses or local traders. Geographic numbers are portable and can be used through internet phone services anywhere in the UK, and caller ID can be faked, so the code alone does not show who is calling.
Who called me from 01472?
The prefix tells you where the line was originally registered (Grimsby), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
