01274 is the area code for Bradford and nearby parts of West Yorkshire. Since 1 October 2014 callers in the area must dial the full area code for local calls, a change Ofcom made to release more numbers. Bradford has a large public sector, financial services and manufacturing base, so calls from 01274 numbers often come from Bradford Council, Bradford Royal Infirmary, GP practices, the University of Bradford or local firms. An 01274 number can be ported or used via the internet anywhere, and it can be spoofed, so a Bradford number is not proof of who is calling.
Who called me from 01274?
The prefix tells you where the line was originally registered (Bradford), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
