01323 is the area code for Eastbourne and nearby parts of East Sussex, including Hailsham, Polegate and Pevensey. Eastbourne is a seaside town with many hotels, language schools and retirement communities, as well as Eastbourne District General Hospital. Calls from 01323 numbers may come from Eastbourne Borough Council, Wealden District Council, NHS services, GP practices, care homes or local businesses. Geographic numbers can be ported and used through internet phone services anywhere, and scammers can spoof caller ID, so a local Eastbourne number should not on its own persuade you to share personal details.
Who called me from 01323?
The prefix tells you where the line was originally registered (Eastbourne), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
