01424 is the area code for Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea and surrounding parts of East Sussex. Hastings is a coastal town known for its fishing fleet, which launches from the beach, and for the nearby site of the Battle of Hastings. Calls from 01424 numbers might come from Hastings Borough Council, Rother District Council, the Conquest Hospital, GP surgeries, schools or local businesses. An 01424 number may have been ported or attached to a VoIP service elsewhere, and caller ID can be spoofed, so verify unexpected requests through an official number.
Who called me from 01424?
The prefix tells you where the line was originally registered (Hastings), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
