0908 numbers are an older premium-rate range historically used for sexual entertainment services. Ofcom now designates the 098 range for these services, and the 0908 and 0909 ranges are not available for new allocations, so 0908 numbers are uncommon today. Any service still using one must follow premium-rate rules, including clear pricing and restrictions on promotion. Calls carry a service charge set by the provider plus your phone company's access charge. If an 0908 number appears on your bill and nobody in your household recognises it, contact your phone company. You can also ask your provider to bar calls to premium-rate numbers from your line.
Unrecognised 0908 charges on a bill may indicate misuse of your line. Raise them with your phone company promptly.
Who called me from 0908?
The prefix tells you what kind of number it is (premium rate (sexual entertainment, legacy)), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
