0911 numbers are part of the 091 premium-rate range, which, like 090, is used for premium-rate services other than sexual entertainment. The 091 numbers came into use after the original 090 ranges, adding capacity for paid services such as advice lines, information services and support desks. As with all 09 numbers, the cost is a service charge chosen by the provider, which must be clearly displayed, plus your phone company's access charge. Do not confuse 0911 numbers with the US emergency number 911: in the UK the emergency numbers are 999 and 112. Treat any unexpected request to call an 0911 number with care.
Never call an 0911 number in an emergency. Use 999 or 112.
Who called me from 0911?
The prefix tells you what kind of number it is (premium rate), but not who is behind it. Numbers can be ported between networks and caller ID can be spoofed, so a familiar code is no guarantee. Search the full number to see its current carrier, line type and whether other people have reported it.
